Extraction The researchers have at their disposal advanced extractive technologies such as accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), microwave extraction, 2 freeze-dryers and 20 rotary evaporators. Isolation 2 High-Speed Counter Current Chromatographs (HSCCC): an analytical one (50 mL) for method development and micro-fractionation, and a preparative one (1000 mL). Semi-preparative HPLC and automated MPLC systems with columns up to 90 × 15 cm and pumps able to reach 250 mL/min flow rate. Analysis and structural identification -A Camag platform for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of TLC, including a semi-automatic applicator for quantitative and preparative separations, a visualizer equipped with UV/visible lamps and a digital camera to archive TLC, and a scanner for densitometric evaluations. -Three analytical HPLC-DAD and one HPLC-DAD/UV hyphenated to a mass spectrometer equipped with APCI and ESI sources, and to an evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD) for a total detection of compounds. -An ultra high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system equipped with a DAD detector, and interfaced to a high-resolution mass spectrometer – Orbitrap hybrid linear ion trap – equipped with electrospray and APCI sources. - 2 GC-MS equipped with a DB-5ms column for the separation of a wide-range of natural compounds, and a chiral column for the separation of enantiomers, with an access to the Wiley library for the preliminary identification of compounds. -3 NMR spectrometers of 200, 400, and 600 MHz. The 600 MHz is equipped with a 1mm MicroProbe which enables the analysis of compounds in small amount, and includes an automatic sample changer allowing the automatic and continuous experiments of up to 60 samples. |
